Seriously though, having a blogger account and posting your thoughts on the intarweb does make you knowledgeable about subjects you otherwise know nothing about.

Hey, but now slashdot knows you're dumb too!

_Good Job_Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11279175.post-1168736643557364982007-01-13T17:04:00.000-08:002007-01-13T17:04:00.000-08:00that is incredible. you were able to not get a si...that is incredible. you were able to not get a single fact about Apple, the APSL, porting, or even basic logic, corect in that little blurb. and then, somehow, it got posted to slash dot?

...the dumbing down has begun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11279175.post-1168726939831031452007-01-13T14:22:00.000-08:002007-01-13T14:22:00.000-08:00Just to clarify that: a licensing agreement stipul...Just to clarify that: a licensing agreement stipulates what people who don't own code are licensed to do with that code by the people who do. The fact that the APSL prevents other people from changing the Darwin source without releasing the changes does not compel Apple to release the source under any circumstances. So, the fact that they haven't released the source does not in any way indicate it's not the same Darwin source they license to others under the terms of the APSL. It is indeed quite likely that the iPhone runs OS X, since otherwise they'd have to reinvent many wheels they already have.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11279175.post-1168725283171862082007-01-13T13:54:00.000-08:002007-01-13T13:54:00.000-08:00Maybe you should have read it a little better.
